By many considered the archetypal Termanistanian [[sub-city]], '''Yilcharon''' is where it all started. Here, the dragon sorcerer [[Yilbechar]] planted the seed that grew to become the plane and city of Termanistan, here he built the [[Spire of Yilbechar]], and here the first settlement slowly grew around his spire.

= Architecture =

Sitting prominently in the middle of [[The Spires]], Yilcharon may be the reason for the name of the [[demistate]] as well as the city itself - there is not a single [[borough]] without [[Spire|spires]], and most [[neighborhoods]] have one.

Once a teeming market with shops of all kinds, the center of Yilcharon is now dominated by the political ongoings - the [[Spire of Council]] is here, as well as those of several municipal and other agencies.

Almost in a ring surrounding the political center are the schools. Schools of magic, various [[Religion|faiths]], all manners of professions and several competing schools of philosophy.

While there are of course shops in Yilcharon, the [[The Sprawl]] is much closer to how Yilcharon was before its politicization.
