Category:Protectors

The protectors are guardian spirits or other powerful entities that have adopted a demistate for their own. They are frequently invoked as parts of curses, blessing or prayers. While some of them may respond to such invocation, most are content to observe at a distance and not meddle.

When one demistate expands, new borders form and the protectors of adjacent demistates may rise to challenge the new borders, to the detriment of those who happen to live in the area.

Known Protectors

• Little is known of Boilerworks' protector.
• The Celenes is home to the protectors Xe'an and An'xe, a pair of angels.
• Et-Gong is protected by the gold dragon Xia'nn Shu'ush-Methonn.
• The Greens is protected by the Tree of Life, a gigantic, rooted maple treant.
• Northwan's protector is the giant warlord Nepheron.
• Orgram's protector is a unique creature known as the Goddoth.
• In the deserts of Raszhan lies a great pyramid with three sides, carved from black basalt and decorated with gold. Inside is a chamber holding a pearl. This pearl is the protector of Raszhan.
• The Spires is protected by the Spirit of Yilbechar.
• Suno-Haiinah is home to the protector Sszhezze'echmeron, also called the world snake.
• Thelaash's protector(s) is a conglomerate of fused consciousnesses known as the Merach Convocation.
• Roaming The Winding, the earth elemental Komerthon acts as its protector.
• Zil-Shahaar is watched by the demon lord Azerthon.
