By many considered the archetypal Termanistanian sub-city, Yilcharon is where it all started. Here, the dragon sorcerer Yilbechar planted the seed that grew to become the plane and city of Termanistan, here he built the Spire of Yilbechar, and here the first settlement slowly grew around his spire.

Sitting prominently in the middle of The Spires, Yilcharon may be the reason for the name of the demistate as well as the city itself - there is not a single borough without spires, and most neighborhoods have one.

Once a teeming market with shops of all kinds, the center of Yilcharon is now dominated by the political ongoings - the Spire of Council is here, as well as those of several municipal and other agencies.

Almost in a ring surrounding the political center are the schools. Schools of magic, various faiths, all manners of professions and several competing schools of philosophy.

While there are of course shops in Yilcharon, the The Sprawl is much closer to how Yilcharon was before its politicization.
